TikTok - YouTubers - Social Media Influencers - Is the Pressure to Stay on Top Too Much?
THE PRICE OF FACE IS TURNING DEADLY - WHY…
The numbers continue to rise. I have added three more names to this article, and there are many more. The stress and pressure to continue to stay on top is crumbling our youth. The addiction for fame and notoriety has become so consuming, as the naysayers continue to banter through the screen, spewing negativity and vile comments taking our influencers one by one.
Why the addiction? The desperation of being seen and heard is a big part of the problem. People want to be accepted and see other people shine bright on this platform, so they feel - “Why not ME”. Honestly, it is a valid question. Why not! The sad reality is - there is a price for fame. Our society is unforgiving and relentless when they want to tear somebody down. When someone rises up, gaining those views, it is like an adrenaline rush. As the numbers go up, so does the EGO. When society starts to pick them apart, they slowly fall to the wayside of the avenue of broken dreams. It is there that anger, depression and low self-esteem set it, and the downward spiral begins.
How can we change this narrative? People need to be kinder and think before the post! Stop with the harsh judgement of others, and cruel comments. Influencers are people too, and people need to remember that! We are all living breathing creatures of this world, and the hate, bashing, and shaming of influencers needs to stop. We need to bring more awareness to this topic!

The recent death of influencer Ashlee Jenae has raised more concerns about mental health and substance use within the influencer community.
Influencers facing the pressures of being in the limelight and substance use in social settings. This combination had caused many complications. Mental distress has also been high on the list of reasons for deep struggles, and this combination has proven to be deadly.
Influencer Ashlee Jenae's Cause of Death at Age 31 Revealed
Ashlee Jenae's cause of death has been determined.
According to local outlet The Citizen, authorities concluded their investigation of the 31-year-old influencer's death in April, while she was on a trip with her fiancé, Joe McCann, to the island of Zanzibar in Tanzania. Working through the Criminal Investigation Department, the Zanzibar Police Force reportedly found that she died by suicide as a result of mental distress.
The content creator — whose legal name was Ashly Robinson — was pronounced dead in the hospital on April 9, per the Tanzanian news source.
May she rest in peace.
Ashlee got engaged just before her trip, and you would think she would have been in a “happy place'“, unfortunately she was struggling with her mental health.
Quote from her fiancé:
“What Ashly desired most was to become a mother and to raise a family together,” he added. “There is no question that she would have been an amazing mom.”
Far too many social media influencers create this facade for the camera’s sharing with their audience a false narrative of their lives to gain views, fans, acceptance! Once the novelty wears off and reality sets in, that is when the downward spiral begins.
We need to continue to bring more awareness to this topic because the price tag for fame is literally robbing people of their lives.
MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS.
MAY THEY ALL REST EASY
