CASA ADVOCATE

Mission

The mission of the Massachusetts CASA Association is to support and develop local CASA volunteer advocacy programs to champion the best interests of children in the Commonwealth’s child protection system.

Vision

A Commonwealth where every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe and permanent home.

May 15, 2025 - I am now officially a CASA ADVOCATE. I am committing myself to helping our youth in the best way possible. As an adult survivor of child abuse - “I was that child”!

I want to make a difference in the lives of others and help and support them through the process. We all have a story, and by using my own life experiences, I do understand the struggles. Families can fall apart quickly when not supported appropriately. The children are the innocent victims of dysfunctional environments. I hope to be a part of the solution. Guiding - Mentoring - Understanding - Supporting - Bringing in the light at the end of the tunnel. I am a voice for the voiceless.

CASA CERTIFICATION

It all started when…

I have always had a great passion for helping people. Since I was a young girl, it was something deep inside of me. When I was going through trauma and abuse, I kept on thinking, someone is going to come save me from this nightmare. I waited and I waited - NObody showed up. The next step was figuring out how I was going to save myself. No child or young adult should ever feel so alone and isolated.

My Game Plan is to make a difference!
