When Our Work is Acknowledged - We Should Celebrate - Minnesota Kind Magazine

When our works are validated, it brings us such a feeling of accomplishment; it is like a reminder that “We Have Arrived”!

People are taking notice and that is a wonderful thing. We are living breathing creatures that walk on this earth, and we all want to be connected, and embraced. That is not to say every single thing we do should be acknowledged, but when it does happen, it certainly feels good. I am proud to be honored for all the hard work that I have been doing, and celebrating this moment is quite fitting.

I am sharing this today to remind all of you that when your turn comes around, please pause and CELEBRATE YOU~ We all work so hard on this platform, and in our daily lives, so why not embrace happiness and joy whenever we can.

As you move forward in life completing your goals, remember to celebrate each milestone as they are all so very important. Following along on your life path with a strong sense of self confidence and raw determination with lead you in many positive directions. Eye on the Prize!

I would like to thank Minnesota Kind Magazine and Sibel Terhaar for “seeing me”, and giving me this beautiful write up. I am humbled and honored.

Thank you so much. Embrace the Journey!

God Bless, Lisa Zarcone

Minnesota Kind Magazine – Featuring Lisa Zarcone

We are honored to feature Lisa Zarcone, an author, advocate, and nationally recognized voice for child safety and mental health awareness.

Lisa is the author of The Unspoken Truth: A Memoir and The Book of Joann, and she is currently writing her third book, Reflections of Trauma and The Healing Journey. She is also developing a children’s series, Phoebe and Valentine’s Great Adventures.

Through her writing, speaking, and advocacy, Lisa gives voice to experiences that are often left in silence.

A devoted wife, mother of three, and grandmother of four, Lisa transformed her early life adversity into a powerful platform for education, healing, and hope.

Her memoir is written through the eyes of a child, offering readers a deeply personal and profound perspective while honoring the resilience of the human spirit.

Lisa serves as a CASA Advocate (Court Appointed Special Advocate), working directly with youth in the judicial system. She is also the Massachusetts National Ambassador and Regional Director for NAASCA (National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse), where she uses her leadership role to speak publicly about prevention, protection, and mental health awareness.

Her career includes keynote presentations, conferences, workshops, podcast interviews, television and radio appearances, and national media features.

She has been recognized with the 2025 Influence Woman title, the 2023 Women of Impact Award from Business West Magazine, and the 2021 Massachusetts Heroine Award.

Lisa speaks passionately about the power of kindness, compassion, and a positive mindset.

She reminds us that these are not just character traits, they are practiced skills. When applied daily in both business and personal life, they create meaningful change and become second nature.

On a personal note,
Lisa Zarcone is not only an incredible advocate and leader, she is also a dear friend.

Her kindness is genuine, consistent, and deeply felt by everyone around her. The same compassion she speaks about publicly is the compassion she lives privately every single day.

I am truly grateful to call her my friend and honored to share her story with our Minnesota Kind community.

Through courage, advocacy, and unwavering dedication, Lisa continues to turn lived experience into leadership and pain into purpose.

Minnesota Kind Magazine is proud to feature her.
