Reflections of 2025 and My Intensions for 2026 - Make Peace With it & Let It Go
Reflections
Every year I do a blog about reflection
REFLECTION: Serious thought or consideration. Looking back and gaining perspective. Life Lessons!
We all go through battles in life, and some years are definitely better than others.
Every year at (years end) I do a reflection and evaluation of my past year. I think about the highs and lows. What did I accomplish and what did not pan out. I take a moment to celebrate my victories, and some silent time to reflect on the disappointments.
Then I set a game plan in motion for the New Year. It is not a resolution, but a list of things I would like to see change and happen in 2026. Then I step into the New Year with a strong positive mindset and get to work! Change does not happen on its own, we must put in our time, patience and energy.
2025 the Year of many struggles -
This past year was a year of many, many struggles for me, and some BIG disappoints for sure. There were things that I wanted to see happen, that just did not go my way. I have felt a bit overlooked in some situations and ignored in others. My goals, wishes and dreams for The Book of Joann did not go where I wanted and needed it to travel. I am fighting a battle with “HIGH STIGMA” surrounding Mental Health, but I will continue on my mission to keep Joann in the light and advocate for mental health.
In my personal life, there was some serious struggles, and I had to do a lot of personal work to overcome the countless emotions attached to the situations. It was a very complex year that is for sure, but the good news is “I survived”. I have carried a lot of “personal sadness”, and silent heart break this year, and I hope things change for the better. That is my wish and prayer.
I have now done my reflection, and I am ready to step into 2026 with a fresh perspective. I made peace with my shortcomings and let them go. We cannot dwell on the past if we want to make progress in the future. When we unload what does not serve us purpose any more, we are allowing new adventures to present themselves.
Also, every year I pick a new word or phrase to represent my upcoming year. This year I chose "Go BIG or Go Home”.
If we want to be a part of something (personal or professional) WE need to show up and be present, putting in our best efforts '- GO BIG!
I am ready to take on the world in 2026 - How about you?
Happy 2026 everyone. I hope you all have a blessed New Year filled with great adventures, new experiences and positive outcomes.
REMEMBER: Offer kindness as often as possible. WE can make our world a kinder and gentler place to live, if we do it together.
Embrace the Journey,
God Bless,
