Official CASA Advocate - I Hope To Be Part of the Solution - I Am A Voice - Our Youth Need US

May 15, 2025 - I am now officially a CASA ADVOCATE. I am committing myself to helping our youth in the best way possible. As an adult survivor of child abuse - “I was that child”!

I want to make a difference in the lives of others and help to support them through the process. We all have a story, and by using my own life experiences, I do understand the struggles. Families can fall apart quickly when not supported appropriately. The children are the innocent victims of dysfunctional environments. I hope to be a part of the solution. Guiding - Mentoring - Understanding - Supporting - Bringing in the light at the end of the tunnel. I am a voice for the voiceless.

It all started when…

I have always had a great passion for helping people. Since I was a young girl, it was something deep inside of me. It was a silent knowing. When I was going through trauma and abuse as a child; I kept on thinking, someone is going to come save me from this nightmare. I waited and I waited - NObody showed up. The next step was figuring out how I was going to save myself. No child or young adult should ever feel so alone and isolated.

That was the darkest time in my young life, and I remember shedding countless tears alone surrounded by my fears. I felt worthless to the world. My inner child grieved for years to come, until I helped her out of the darkness… The Healing Journey is a powerful experience… Lisa Zarcone
